2025/2026 Season
The Edison High School Charger Basketball coaches, teachers, alumni, and booster club are excited to welcome you to Edison High School Freshman Basketball. This program serves as an introduction for student-athletes to both the school and the EHS basketball program. If you’re considering joining the freshman basketball team, remember that being part of the team requires full dedication to both your academics and the sport.
All incoming freshman basketball players are required to complete this form
Basic Timeline Incoming Freshman Basketball:
- MANDATORY FRESHMAN CHECK-IN & CLEARANCE: JUNE 27, 2025 Click here to access the forms and clearance info
- MANDATORY FRESHMAN BASKETBALL CAMP: Starts June 30, 2025 (See our calendar) This camp has an associated cost $375 includes practice jersey) Venmo or PayPal here
- INITIAL MANDATORY PARENT MEETING: We will have a mandatory parent meeting for the fall & winter league for the players who aren’t playing a fall sport in Aug/Sept sometime (See our calendar for exact dates/times/updates)
- Summer tournaments: July/Aug
- Fall League Starting End of Aug through Sept
Freshman Basketball Checklist (you will need before the first day of camp in order to participate)
- School Physical form completed and signed by a medical doctor. Unfortunately, no chiropractors, nurse practitioners or other health care provider will be accepted. Click here to access the forms and clearance info. Look for “Step by Step Clearing instructions”
- Summer Camp Emergency Form (handed out by coaches)
- Player/Parent Contact Info Card (handed out by coaches)

A: No Tryouts for summer/fall leagues. Tryouts for the regular season are in the end of October
A: During the school year, the team practices every week day after school (unless there is a game) Times will vary depending on the team.
