Varsity Coaches
Josh Beaty
Coach Beaty is in his second year of coaching at Edison. Coach Beaty has 14 years of head coaching experience, the most recent at Fountain Valley. He also coached Buena Park High School, including an impressive winning record of over 200 wins. His winning record includes leading the Crean Lutheran boys basketball team to a 2018 CIF Championship as well as four league championships. In his 14 years as a head coach, he was also named the 2018 CIF Coach of the Year and 2016 Open Gym Premier Coach of the Year.

Josh Zumkehr
Josh Zumkehr is beginning his 22nd year coaching high school basketball. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Concordia University Irvine in 2010. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Eastside Christian in 2003, where he eventually became the head coach from 2010-2013. After his time at Eastside Christian he became the JV head coach and Varsity assistant from 2013-2018. In 2019, he became the head coach at valley Christian Cerritos where his team went to the CIF semifinals and state semifinals in 2021. When he is not coaching basketball, coach Zumkehr enjoys going to the beach and learning how to surf as well as watching the Green Bay Packers.
